Tuition Fees
Compared to other colleges and preparatory schools, Duna International College offers prestigious education for an affordable cost. We combine the advantages of an intensive language course and an overall preparatory course to universities for the price of one. It is also worth mentioning that not only the tuition fee, but also the costs of living are much more affordable in Hungary than many other countries.
- At Duna College we offer the lowest tuition fees along with the highest quality of education.
- From the academic year 2025-26 all our applicants have the option to pay their tuition fees in 2 parts which means paying before the visa application and after visa approval.
- From the academic year 2025-26 the insurance fee will be paid after visa approval and upon enrollment at DC in Budapest. Insurance fee will be €250-300.
- From the academic year 2024-25 Duna College students will receive a national student card with many benefits, including monthly student tickets with a great discount.
Regular fees
Compulsory fees - For the academic year 2025-2026: (All fees are in Euros)
For Non-EU citizens
The following fees must be paid prior to visa application. Bank charges on transactions must be supplied by the applicant.
1. Application fee (for all study programs except Pre-high school): €200 – compulsory - Nonrefundable
2. Accommodation booking fee (for all study programs): €100 – compulsory - Nonrefundable in case of visa approval

Regular courses
- Fall & Spring semesters, commencing in October & November
- Study duration: One academic year
A. Undergraduate Programs - Age limit: 25 years old and under
- Pre-medical: €6900
- Pre-engineering: €5900
- Pre-economic: €5450
- Pre-high school: €7300 (Age limit: between 16 - 18 years old) - The Application fee for the Pre-high school program is €1000.
B. Postgraduate Programs - Age limit: 30 years old and under
- Pre-master’s: €5900
- Pre-PhD: €6900 - The Application fee for the Pre-PhD program is €1000.
Intensive courses
- Spring semester only, commencing in January & February
- Study duration: One academic semester
A. Undergraduate Programs - Age limit: 25 years old and under
- Pre-medical: €6900
- Pre-engineering: €5900
- Pre-economic: €5450
- Pre-high school: €7300 (Age limit: under 19 years old) - The Application fee for the Pre-high school program is €1000.
B. Postgraduate Programs - Age limit: 30 years old and under
- Pre-master’s: €5900
- Pre-PhD: €6900 - The Application fee for the Pre-PhD program is €1000.
5. Insurance fee: €250-300 - To be paid upon enrollment at the college.
Remarks:
- Applicants above 25 years old must pay for their accommodation for 6 months in advance.
For EU citizens
- Pre-medical: €4500
- Pre-engineering: €3900
- Pre-economic: €3900

Refund Policy:
A. For Non-EU Citizens
1. Prior to visa application - by admission issue: In this case only 50% of the tuition fees is refundable. The application fee (€200) is not refundable as well.
2. After visa approval, prior to landing in Hungary: Firstly, the visa must be cancelled and then just 10% of the tuition fee is refundable only by submitting the revoked visa. The application fee (€200) and the accommodation booking fee (€100) are not refundable.
3. After visa approval, landing in Hungary and prior to or after enrollment at the College: None of the fees including tuition fee, application fee and accommodation booking fee will be refundable.
4. By visa rejection:
- All study programs except Pre-high school and Pre-PhD: €400 Euro will be deducted and the rest of the tuition fee will be refundable. The application fee (€200) is not refundable. Refunding will be done only after submission of the official rejection letter from the Hungarian consulate.
- Pre-high school & Pre-PhD: €200 Euro will be deducted and the rest of the tuition fee will be refundable. The application fee (€1000) is not refundable. Refunding will be done only after submission of the official rejection letter from the Hungarian consulate.
5. Change in the chosen study program after visa application: There is no refund or tuition fee transfer in case of change request in the chosen study program or ignoring to proceed to the destination university.
6. All bank charges in case of refunding must be supplied by the applicant (€200)
Important Note: Required time of the refunding also depends on the refund policy of the partner university.
B. For EU Citizens
1. Prior to enrollment at the College: 35% of the tuition fee will be deducted and the rest will be refundable. The application and the accommodation fees are not refundable as well.
2. After enrollment at the College: None of the fees including tuition fee, application fee and accommodation booking fee are refundable.
